If third party warranty (as described in #2 below, the vessel owner will file the claim directly with the manufacturer and provide the claim number to Cool Boats LLC>
The vessel owner is responsible to contact the manufacturer for the warranty claim number and submit with this form for third party purchases. These unit will need to be removed from the vessel and brought to our shop with the manufacturer's warranty/RMA # and what is approved for warranty coverage.
Vessel owners with Dometic or Cool Boats installed units, please complete this form and we will handle the claim directly. We must have the purchase receipt of the boat (if product was installed at manufacture) or from the location the unit was purchased, as well as the unit product number and serial number.
Any charges incurred for the warranty service not covered by the manufacturer (such as travel, removal and/or reinstallation of the unit or non-standard installation costs) is the responsibility of the vessel owner and will be billed as such (
rates
). Please note that there are different negotiated rates with manufacturers and that rate may not meet our service fee - any difference in the negotiated rate and our actual fee is billed to the broker or vessel owner (as well as hours not covered).
If your vessel is on a mooring, we need you to bring it to the dock for the warranty service.
